How to Rent a Car at Ljubljana Airport upon Arrival?

The procedure PICK UP is very simple:

1. Booking

When booking, you choose the option to pick up the car at the Airport and indicate the flight number and arrival time in the notes.

2. Confirmation

We confirm the dates, and after receiving the prepayment, the order is considered fully confirmed. N.b. Unlike other companies, when renting a car from us, we do not require a credit card. You can make a prepayment by bank transfer, and the rest and deposit in cash.

3. Meeting

At the agreed-upon time, we will meet you in the airport arrival zone with a sign ‘RENTACARSLO‘. If you don’t see our representative upon exiting, please stay in the arrival zone. Our staff member will definitely come for you; the hall is very small, so it’s hard to get lost there.

After the meeting in the arrival hall, you proceed to the car park located just across from the exit, approximately 200 meters away. The client inspects the car, signs the agreement. The entire procedure usually takes 5-10 minutes.

4. In case of delay/cancellation.

If your flight is delayed, please send an SMS message on one of the messengers or by email info@rentacarslo.eu. In the case of a flight delay of more than an hour, an additional fee for waiting at the airport is possible, amounting to 10 €/hour.

How do I return my rental car at the Ljubljana Airport?

1. Return Time

The return time of the car will be indicated in the upper right corner of the Rental Agreement (in English) under the ‘Return Date’ line.

2.Car return location

As you approach the airport building, keep to the right side (see in the foto).

The car return point is located right at the entrance to the departure hall (just beyond the barrier), here’s how it looks in the photo.

You can park the car there for free for 10 minutes, and usually, this is more than enough for the car return procedure.

FAQ and situations "What if ...."

Can the rental price be reduced?

We offer a budget option for airport meet and car handover at Ljubljana Airport. If you travel to or from the airport with our staff to/from Ljubljana, the service cost will be reduced by 15 euros.

What if my flight is delayed?

Within an hour we are waiting for you free of charge. If the delay lasts more than an hour, then an additional cost of 10 euros per hour will be charged for waiting. Please notify us about this as soon as possible – by sending an SMS to the messenger or a letter, or just call.

What if I wish to change the arrival/return time...

Please coordinate this change in writing, through an SMS message on one of the messengers or via email, at least 24 hours prior to the return time. Usually, the schedule for car pick-up and return is planned several days in advance; we will try to accommodate changes to your flight, but we cannot guarantee this. According to the Rental Terms, without prior agreement and written confirmation, a penalty of 70 euros is withheld from the deposit amount, and additional charges apply for rental time beyond that specified in the agreement. If our representative cannot meet at a different time, you will need to park the car in our parking lot in Ljubljana and leave the key in the agreed-upon location.

What if my flight arrives at night?

No problem! We can meet you. However, meeting or returning the car at Ljubljana Airport during non-business hours, i.e., from 6 PM to 9 AM, incurs an additional fee of 15 €.”

How long does it take to return and collect a car?

5 to 10 minutes.

What if I left some belongings in the car in a hurry?

If we find some things, then we contact the client, we can send a photo of the thing. If the item is needed urgently, we send it by mail by agreement, or the item remains with us until the next arrival (for customers who often travel through our company).

What if I accidentally loss or take avay the vehicle's technical passport?

Then we’ll have to reissue the documents, and according to the agreement, we will invoice an additional 50 euros. It’s better to make sure to hand the vehicle’s technical passport directly to our staff member.”

The Ljubljana Jože Pučnik International Airport serves as Slovenia’s main air gateway. It is named after the Slovenian dissident Jože Pučnik and is located 27 km north of the city of Ljubljana. Its former name was Brnik Airport.
